Don’t Miss the 3rd Annual 9/11 Heroes Run! This year during the medals ceremony we will again present the Bob Burton Team Award to the Team with the most runners!  Here are the details:

Who: Residents of the Alexandria, Mt. Vernon, Fort Hunt and the Washington, DC Metro Area

What: 3rd Annual Alexandria 9/11 Heroes Run/Walk and 1/2 Mile Family Fun Run –

WhenSaturday, September 9, 2017 at 9:00am – Featuring:

·        Patriotic opening ceremony at 8:00am

·        FREE pancake and bacon/sausage breakfast courtesy of IHOP

·        FREE coffee courtesy of Starbucks

·        Vendor Village with local companies and non-profit organizations – Please consider having a table/tent in our village!

·        Fairfax County Fire Department and Police Department participation

·        Classic car-show courtesy of Alexandria Cars and Coffee

·        Much more!

Where: Carl Sandburg Middle School, 8428 Fort Hunt Rd, Alexandria, VA 22308

Why: To HONOR our military and first responders and remember those who died on 9/11 and in the wars since.  This year’s event proceeds will benefit:

Jackson Casey Memorial Fund

FHYAA Names 2016 Jackson Casey Memorial Scholarship Winners

The Fort Hunt Youth Athletic Association announced the winners of the 2016 Jackson Casey Memorial Scholarships.  The four winners were selected from a pool of applicants, all of whom were asked to describe in 750-1,200 words the life lessons they learned through their participation in Fort Hunt youth athletics.

Non-Parent Coach or Assistant Coach Volunteer
We appreciate all of our Volunteers!
If you do not have any children that are registered to play a FHYAA sport, but you plan to volunteer to Coach or Assistant Coach for that sport, you must complete the Volunteer Registration process for the sport you plan to coach.
