Geographic Boundaries
Spring Fort Hunt Little League Baseball has GEOGRAPHIC BOUNDARY RESTRICTIONS. Click the “Maps” link on the left to view the FHLL boundary map and verify your permanent residence is in our boundary.
Length of Spring Season
Practices begin in mid-March and the season ends in mid-June.
Cost
Baseball: $135 registration fee
T-Ball: $95 registration fee
+ $10 discount for each additional baseball/T-ball player in family
+ $5.50 Fairfax County Field Use Fee per registrant
Volunteer Opt Out Fee
Fort Hunt Little League Baseball is run entirely by volunteers. Volunteer opportunities available to each player’s family include:
· Manager
· Assistant Coach
· Umpire
We recognize that not all families have the ability or inclination to volunteer. If you choose not to volunteer to perform at least one of the above volunteer duties, you will be assessed a $80 volunteer opt out fee for baseball ($40.00 for T-Ball!)
Late Fee
$75 late fee per registrant will be assessed starting Thursday, February 25th, 2010 (extended due to weather.
Note: Late Fees do not apply to T-ball or Seniors
Leagues (Age Groups)*
*Final league placement will be made by league officials based on both parent request and on number, skill, and age of all registrants.
T-ball: Ages 5-6
A-League (Machine Pitch): 7 yr olds and about 1/3 of 8 yr olds (6 yr olds considered only through special request)
AA-League (Machine Pitch): remaining 2/3 8 yr olds and about 2/3 of 9 yr olds (7 yr olds considered only through special request)
AAA-League (Kid Pitch): remaining 1/3 of 9 yr olds, 10 yr olds, and about ¼ of 11 yr olds
Majors League (Kid Pitch): remaining ¾ of 11 yr olds, 12 yr olds (select # of 10 yr olds)
Juniors League (90’ Field): 13 & 14 yr olds
Seniors League (90’ Field): 15 & 16 yr olds
Player “baseball age” is their age as of 30 April 2010.
Skills Evaluations
Fort Hunt Little League uses the "Skills Evaluation" as a means to assess baseball skills. Together with age and playing experience, the evaluation assists in determining the appropriate league level for players and helps to ensure competitively balanced teams. Participation in one of the two Skills Evaluation sessions is required for players intending to play league levels AA and higher, for which “drafts" are conducted in late February/early March to establish final team rosters.

Refunds
FHYAA requires that a $25 administration fee be charged for all refunds. Total amount of refund is determined on a case by case basis.
